Veronica Nelson

Veronica Nelson lives and works in the Kawartha Lakes for over 30 years. Veronica was a Founding Director on the Omemee Medical Centre Board contributing to physician recruitment and building development at that time. She has recently rejoined the Board bringing expertise in governance, healthcare and executive leadership.

Graham Bayly

Graham Bayly moved to Omemee in early 2000 as a place to retire in a forever home. He has never regretted it. Graham joined the Omemee Medical Centre Board of Directors as a Recording Secretary and then as a Director. This was his way to give back to the community and to become involved. Graham worked twenty-five years for Ontario Hydro and then Ontario Power Generation as an Engineer.

Linda Morrison

Linda Morrison, her husband and daughter moved to the City of Kawartha Lakes in 1992. Linda worked at Toronto Hydro for 18 years ending her career as a billing clerk. Linda has been the treasurer of the Omemee Medical Centre since 2010. She is also the treasurer and volunteer at the Omemee Food Bank.

Cassandra Nelson

She was born and raised in the Kawartha Lakes. She began her career at Ross Memorial Hospital in the ICT department. Throughout her post-secondary education, she initiated and participated in several volunteer groups to enrich the student experience. Her way of giving back to the community, was to become a part of the Omemee Medical Centre. Cassandra looks forward to enhancing the Omemee Medical Centre’s technology platforms

Colette Vollering

Colette Vollering is a retired CEO of the French River Public Library. She moved to Pigeon Lake in 2000 and married a local business man. She worked part time at Coles Bookstore in Lindsay and Peterborough. Colette has been volunteering at Good Neighbours Care Centre in Peterborough since 2014 and has been a director of the Omemee Medical Center since 2017.

John Coxon

John and his wife have lived in Lindsay since 1975. In 1976, he opened his first business, Oxy-Weld starting out with one employee growing to 18 employees after just eight years. In 1996, John was awarded the Business Leader of the Year Award presented by the Chamber of Commerce. Since retirement, John has been a volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society. John was a director on the Chamber of Commerce between 1976 and 1985. He has been an active member of the Rotary Club since 1977. John brings local experiences in Business Management and Fundraising to the Omemee Medical Centre.

Suzanne Cody

Suzanne Cody originating from Toronto, has called the Kawartha Lakes home for over 20 years. Suzanne is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), obtaining her designation in 1998 and is a Senior partner in a Peterborough accounting firm. She joined the Omemee Medical Centre Board in 2017.

Simon Wickens

Simon and his wife are longtime residents of the Omemee area. Simon has more than 40 years working in the printed news media. Simon is the Past President of the Omemee Lions Club, with positions held as Vice President and Treasurer. Simon is a member of the Omemee Legion and has been instrumental in getting the Lions Club and Legion to work together to complete projects. Simon is looking forward to sitting on the Board of the Omemee Medical Centre.

Barry Marr

Barry Marr moved to the Omemee area in 1979 with his wife and three children. Barry worked at Gay Lea Foods for more than 25 years ending his career as a Supervisor. Barry was the Chair of the Omemee Hydro Chest Fund and in 2007 became a founding member and President of the Omemee Medical Centre, a position only he has held. Barry also volunteers at the Omemee Food Bank.
